Good Targets in Lundell & Sawchyn, but Hanifin should still fetch more than this

Add FLA’s 2025-2nd + Ryan McAllister + Niko Mikkola

Might need to throw some retention on Hanifin and/or offer them some depth pieces for the Playoffs like Duehr, Greer or Oesterle and perhaps a Late Pick and/or Excess Prospect their way to balance it all out

Lundell for Hanifin 1 for 1 would be a win for the flames. Use the newhook trade as a baseline for acquiring lundell in the offseason, then consider how much a year of Lundell is worth at 900k.

Then compare that to any rental ever.

Lundell takes the spot of the first because the panthers have no first to offer.

Lundell is worth more than a 1st.

Using the newhook trade as a baseline you're asking for 1st+2nd+3rd+prospect without retaining. And Lundell has an ELC year still in progress that provides significant value to Florida, Newhook did not.

Nah, I’ll give Lundell the value of a 1st, but Hanifin still brings back a 2nd + 3rd + Roster Player + B Prospect + C Prospect on Top of that

CGY may need to retain on Hanifin though and offer some depth pieces, later picks or other prospects back in exchange

This assumes Hanifin is willing to extend long-term in FLA, which I think he is if he’s considering Tampa Bay

We’re hoping for a Home Run Return on Hanifin although some are saying prefer to be disappointed. We’ll see

If you value Lundell at a late 1st NJD is happy to take him off your hands after the trade for our 2025 1st.

What rental has returned 1st+2nd+3rd+roster player (I'm assuming this is positive value asset otherwise you'd say cap dump)+B prospect+C prospect?

Even in the best view of the lindholm trade he STILL didn't return that.

I'd argue that's close what calgary got for Tanev and Lindholm COMBINED

1st
2nd
3rd
Bruz: B prospect
Grush: C prospect
Kuzmenko "roster player"

4th and jurmo are meaningless

Hampus Lindholm and Dmitry Orlov and use Jacob Chychrun too because he’s injury prone, has bad knees and sucks at defence. Furthermore, none of those guys were as highly rated or playing as well as Noah Hanifin is right now

Hampus Lindholm:
1st, 2nd, 2nd, C prospect, cap dump, with retention. Take away the cap dump and retention, Lindholm got a 1st+2nd.

Dmitry Orlov
1st, 2nd, 3rd, cap dump, retention, had to give up another meaningful piece. Take away the cap dump, retention, and hathaway. Orlov got a 1st

Hanifin > Lindholm/Orlov when they were Traded

Lindholm pre-negotiated an extention and signed it upon arrival. Orlov was a pure rental

Hanifin’s the #1 Trade piece on the board. What did Claude Giroux and Ben Chiarot get!? Rentals can go for a premium too man

Disagree with there being any meaningful difference. The price for rentals has a peak.

Yes, Lindholm had an extension. So that's IF you can manage to get said extension figured out in time.

1st+2nd. Add a 3rd for retention if involved

March 2nd, 2024:
KingofRNR, "Hanifin brings back a 1st + 2nd + 3rd + Roster Player + B Prospect + C Prospect

March 6th, 2024:
Calgary Flames, "We trade Hanifin for a 1st, 3rd, F Prospect"

Delusional. There should be some type of IQ test to be allowed to post here.
