It's not my proposal, and I'd hesitate to say that @Wpgjts speaks for most Preds fans.

Even if NSH was in a position where they should be spending futures at the deadline, this isn't a good buy. This is three replacement level players in, and two replacement level players out. It's a shuffling of insignificant deck chairs, but with less cap space than NSH had before. Why pay a 2nd for that?

Buffalo would take that and run.
No doubt Barrie cannot play defense but neither can EJ.
All of the contracts expire at the end of this season and Buffalo walks away with a second.
