Good thing you are not MTL GM
This would be a terrible trade for MTL. Kent Hughes (he is the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens) like Josh Anderson and he is well respected in MTL locker room. Kent Hughes (again, the GM of the MTL Canadiens) traded Lehkonen for Justin Barron, a right handed defenseman (a position of need for MTL). MTL only have one slot (teams have a maximum of 3 slots) left and they won't use it on a guy with a lot of terms left. Also, for you information, the maximum a team can retain on a player is 50%. Andrei Kuzmenko was a cap dump in the CGY/VAN trade, which means he has negative value. He isn't a player Kent Hughes would try to acquire without picks/prospects coming our way.

No rush to trade Anderson with retention considering all the cap space the Habs have right now.
Maybe next year, but not worth it now..

I'm honestly surprised to see (well maybe I shouldn't be) Habs fans thinking this is terrible. You're trading a bad player and a decent young defender for a decent young forward who may be a bit overpaid. I don't think that's a huge L. That being said, it's just not really necessary for either team. I don't think this should interest Calgary at all
