Colorado is somehow trading the best player, the best prospect, and the best pick. Easy decline.

I think AZ-COL make good trade partners this deadline.

Can potentially substitute Schmaltz or Bjugstad for Kerfoot.
I would rather trade Kerfoot because I like the chemistry Schmaltz has with Hayton-Keller & Bjugstad has with Maccelli-Crouse.
But, Kerfoot has proven he can move up and down to any line.
Kerfoot is also one of our best penalty killers so that would be tough.

It seems neither Johansen or Byram are living up to expectations but I don't follow the Avs enough to know for sure.
The draft picks may need to change to balance trade better.

I included Ritchie because I liked him at draft and was hoping he ended up in AZ.
AZ also has some bottom 6 Centers in minors that could make it easier for COL to let Ritchie go.

The Avs downgrade everywhere and still don't have an actual 2C would get McFarland fired immediately.... Skaic would never sign off on it...

I don't know who you think the best player is but I am thinking it is Kerfoot.

Johansen has always been a negative player and I only included him to balance cap.
He isn't absolutely terrible but COL probably has to pay someone to take him.
Byram has potential but I hear he is playing on 3rd line because he has some defensive liabilities. Is that true?

The best player in this trade is Byram, Kerfoot is not a 2C on any cup contending team. If he is your 2C you are done in R1.
