I really don’t know what a fair deal looks like.

Earlier today I put together a trade which let me flip thru the different options that Toronto could make this deal work with the cap, and unless there’s some other deal upfront, or some cap shenanigans that I’m unaware of, or some 3 team thing, I couldn’t find a deal that I felt stl would accept. I don’t see an asset that stl would covet, and if the teams goals were to acquire draft picks or just generic futures, they’d have much simpler paths.

We shall see.

You're not doing that. Blues are not trading Parayko.

I don't think it is about what a fair trade would look like, but rather that the Blues simply aren't in a position to trade Parayko. It collapses the retool and puts us into more of an 8+ year rebuild.

And this windfall does exactly nothing to address Blues needs, which just got a funkin Grand Canyon ripped into it. That's how far away their ideas routinely are. Ahhhh remember the glorious days when they offered Willy+... ?
