          I don’t know about that as Washington undersold Mantha at half retention. It was ridiculous to leave Vegas with another 4.4M in cap space and all their 1sts!

          Guentzel (best player) Savard (2 year term) will get more at half retention.

          They don’t want to trade Savard. Unless it’s a blow the doors off kind of offer, I doubt it. The locker room was gutted after Monahan left. Xhekaj-Savard is a pairing they really like. They don’t want to be the Sabres/Senators whom are looking for the same sort of veterans like Savard to end the culture of losing. Bourgault isn’t much of a prospect and they have 11 picks in the 1st 3 rounds til 2026.
          It would take a prospect like Holloway and Oilers aren’t doing that. Habs also don’t have room for Ceci if they are trading Savard. Hutson, Mailloux Reinbacher are coming soon.
