Like the DeMelo signing, but worry about how thin the blue line will be, again, given your focus on signing new forwards.

Furthermore, teams don't move players they just extended. Unless they royally stink up the joint post fact. That's hardly the case with Zuccy.

The key was to sign the LW free agent class this season to multiple years giving the Leafs an opportunity to solidify this lineup in 2yrs. Demelo\Morrisey in Win works very well. Extra year of development for Lili and Benoit and the final year of the albatross Tavares contract. The team needs to stop signing guys for one season and give the group a few seasons to gel and be ready for a cup run. Unfortunately, it won't be this season.
