In the real world, each of Buchnevich and Parayko would cost you a first-round draft pick plus either Knies or Cowan, but that wouldn't be enough due to the facts (among others) that (1) Parayko has six more seasons left on his deal, and (2) Buchnevich has more points than John Tavares despite the subtle indications that he plays on a team not quite as good as Toronto.

Oh, I get over John Tavares every spring when Toronto loses in the playoffs. It's comforting to know that Tavares has fewer Stanley Cup rings than Steve Rucchin.

So a cap dump, a 4C, an okay prospect, a 3rd line winger, a meh defensive prospect and a late 1st for a top line winger at 50% retained and a top 4 RD. And I thought some Sens fans were delusional lol

I never had to "get over" Tavares because I'd left NY long before he was drafted by the Islanders.

So far, I've seen the Islanders win 4 (consecutive) Cups, the Ducks win one in 2007 and the Kings win two. And before I retired, my office overlooked the starting point for championship-winning parades, so I've enjoyed some nice Dodger and Laker wins, too.
