I really just don't have a need for him at all and that's why I'm not going to make a higher offer. I do like him as a player, but If I end up with him an Abdelkader, thats 12 years worth of average 3rd liner LW's at a substantial pay rate. By the time they're worth the money they receive, they might have turned into Pumpkins and not even be in the NHL.

Is this news surprising to you or are you just pushing McAvoy's value through the roof because he played good with Zedeno Chara in the playoffs? Carlo looked like a top 60 defenseman league wide next to Chara last year as well, so maybe it's just playing with Chara that makes everyone better? Seidenberg looked like a top 60 defeneder with him as well and so did Boychuk lol everyone who plays with Chara looks way better than they actually are and Charlie wasn't that great at B.U. Which I watched 4 or 5 games last season. He was above average, but nothing like the player at the WJC or in the playoffs.

Will Killorn be cheap?

I paid a 2nd+ for him. If you call what I offered cheap then he would be available cheap, but I have no reason to move him as I missed out on UFA so I have tons of cap and then Koivu expiring next season. If you want to offer me around what I offered for him, I may take it? He's not a guy I was in love with, but he is solid and has a good chance at 40 points and he's only 27. If you want to pay an absolute ton, I might be able to get crazy with you and use my last retain for @50% him, which would be killer value for a guy like this.
