Hows it looking

Description
Looking good enough to beat the leafs. I like Maroon as a 13f, and Peeke as a 7d. I do not like Peeke's contract, that's a big risk.

i don't think they grabbed a 2.75M d man to sit him. they clearly see something in him that columbus didn't.

For the next 2 years yea. I think for this year Shatty is the way to go though. He's looked great with Wotherspoon lately.

Peeke seems more like a project, to get them accustomed to their system. He has the size etc. but his stats aren't promising. My guess is they took advantage of the buyers market by picking him up now instead of the offseason. They knew Forbort was going to LTIR so could stash him for now, train him to learn their system, while being depth in the meantime.

High risk high reward trade.

I also think that's matchup dependent. there are going to be games where you want peeke over shattenkirk.

That's how it's looking, but honestly I think that's a good thing, not a bad thing. The roster itself is just objectively not as good as the competition, and objectively does not compare to cup winners historically. If they can win a round with this, it means they probably don't need to add too much to be a contender

True, I think a lot of it comes down to Griz too. If he's beat up and struggling to move pucks, I think Shatty needs to fill that role. But if he's doing well and you need to shut down top offense, maybe Peeke is better, or at least has more potential

Look the Wings win a round this year I will do cart wheels even making the playoffs. The B's are in another world but they keep winning.

shattenkirk plays the right side. gryzelck plays the left side. they have nothing to do with each other.

They need a puck mover, so whether that's right or left doesn't matter
