Pointless for Sharks. Old and very expensive goalie in exchange to a goalie with decent skills and salary doesn't just make sense to me.

Hank doesn't waive his NTC.
Hank is still top tier goalie.
NYR won't trade for a younger goalie when they have great goalie prospects.
This is horrendous.

Doesn't make sense for all parties involved. Sharks would rather develop their prospect than take on a goalie at the tail end of their career who makes lots of money, great as he may be.

Rangers are still looking to compete, so taking on a kid goalie as a starter doesn't make sense. They also already have 3-4 possible future starters in their system, so wouldn't trade for one. If Hank gets traded, it's to a team who is a goalie away in return for blue chippers.

I wonder what motivates people to post stuff like this.
