It was reported kovalenko time is KHL is over due to his team being eliminated, however he took a questionable hit so they will get an update on that. I'm guessing he will be here in a week just in time the road trip is done.

Kovalenko is going to get about 15 games to mesh and prove he belongs. But the bubble forwards are definitely Duhaime, Cogliano and Kovalenko. Come playoff time and fully healthy roster your top 6 is pretty clear cut 29, 96, 27, 37, 13, 62. The 3rd line locks are 20 and 9. 28, 25, 15 are locks for the line up.

I don’t know that I would put it that way Wood and LOC are the fastest of the group (Wood is one of the 10 fastest skaters in the league by achieved top speed) and Trenin and LOC are the best forecheckers. But yes I like those combinations if Kovalenko can do it. Trenin LOC Wood could be the best sand paper forechecking line COL has had in. While.
