Do you not care about their play defensively?

Well yes but why do you think Cale Makar and Adam Fox are winning the Norris while Colton Parayko isn’t ?

because they are better all around, while Parayko is defense only. That doest apply to Dahlin and Hedman.

Dahlin expected goals above replacement: 14.2

Hedman expected goals above replacement: 0.2

It's not even close. Offensively they generate the same expected goals for per 60 minutes, Hedman benefits from being on a competent NHL team and Dahlin suffers from playing with AHLers.

Defensively? Hedman looks like he's not even trying.

Very fair points but I like to look at defensive pairing more than individual defensemen. Tampa has played very poorly on defense but also Vasilevsky has been quite poor by his standards this season. It doesn't mean I wouldn't take him in a playoff game though over everyone else.

I think Lowry is a better checking centre than MacK. MacK is more suited to a top6 role.

I meant the best players by position, as in MacK is the 3rd best C in the league.
