Please explain how and why Vegas uses a 1st to get Reilly Smith back? They have lots of other guys to re-sign extend etc and they dumped the guy on you last year.

Dubas couldn’t even get a 1st involved in Guentzal trade.

Saad's contract runs two more seasons, Rakell's twice as long. St. Louis isn't the team that would have to add a third to make this exchange work.

Reilly Smith got no serious interest at the trade deadline . . . why would he get a first for one season at 33 years of age, even at half off?
