Wash 1st Rd pick will be a top 10 overall selection this summer. They're going tank hard in the last 20 or so games. Maybe even a top 5 selection.

The pick is 15 rn based on points %

Players don't tank, management can only try. If the Caps had wanted to tank that hard they would've moved Dowd, TVR, Jensen, etc for peanuts at the deadline.

Also, there is like a 0% chance they pick top 5 (without winning the lottery). They're 15 points above a top 5 pick

They should be in the bottom 3 overall with how low their goal scoring total is.

I'm amazed they stayed in the middle of the pack this long when they can't score goals.

Pretty certain Tkachuk minimally would start with Ryan Leonard and Wash 24 1st…

If Washington had Pierre Dorian as GM they’d probably do that

Well if you wouldn’t trade those 2 pieces plus then you are wasting your time with any Tkachuk aspirations…

lol he absolutely gets that much. It would take a great young piece and a decent pick to get him.

24 year old stud 1st line power forward with term on his contract and no “trade clauses”

Cristall, 1st & Iorio is closer to that than Leonard & 1st

“Great young piece” + 1st or top 10 prospect in the entire NHL + 1st

Which is it?

For Brady it would take A level piece as the starting piece. Someone who’s a sure fire top liner

Leonard has been referred to as Tkachuk lite so Brady costs a bit more

Sorry but look at Ottawa's core players ages... they are not REBUILDING. They have to make several tweaks but the point is not to trade players for futures...

Even if they would, I am sorry but that package is not interesting at all. Cristall has skill but is 5'10. Iorio fit needs better but doesn't have a ton of value
