Calgary can't tear it down just yet, they need to wait 1 more year (don't have their own 1st rounder) but even then retaining on that trade is probably not a move they'd want to make but the value is fair enough.

Why on earth are we trading for a 32 year old? Especially to play on the 4th line lol

I wouldn’t touch Goodrow unless it came with a whole lot of compensation of taking that contract

Tampa can’t afford Fowler, Warren is supposed to be a Cernak type guy so why not just wait on him?

1. Read the description. You want Ross the boss on the 4th line instead? lol.
2. Goodrow plays on the PK and Strome doesn’t. Rangers has 5th best PK. Goodrow isn’t completely useless & we can trade his last year of his contract
3. Yes they can, he’s a 3-4 years away and Verbeek said he wants to compete for a playoff spot next season

1. Much rather Leason
2. Not every guy in the lineup had to PK man, I don’t take back what I said about Goodrow’s contract, it’s bad and we need a reason to take it on imo
3. Then why not sign a guy to placehold for Warren then? Why should we trade so much away?

I’m gonna put this here.

Look at Ottawa, Buffalo and New Jersey, all of them need veteran leadership. We can’t be like them.

No reason for the Rangers to trade Goodrow just to take on Strome's albatross contract. Maybe if Strome was retained but Anaheim wouldn't do that. We already replaced Strome with Trocheck who is twice the player. Find another team to try to dump Strome onto

Crazy overpay for both Coleman and Cernak, especially considering where ANA is in its rebuild.

Somehow the trade taking back Goodrow's contract is the best of the three, and even that one is brutal.

Three more years of Goodrow at 3.6 or three more years of Strome at 5.0, and you think Strome's contract (while an overpay) is the albatross? LOL. The Rangers offered Goodrow to anyone who would listen at the deadline.

No they didn't lol. Goodrow is a valuable piece to the Rangers' playoff push. If he was offered for FC, he would be desired by at least a half dozen teams
