2024-2025 Leafs
Keller is younger, cheaper, signed long term and put up his numbers with nobody. I wouldn't trade him 1 for 1 for Marner even if Marner had the same contract.
You're giving good players\prospects\picks in the trade but, I don't really see the Flames saying yes even if they didn't hate Treliving but, as a Flames fan I might be biased and want them to try and compete next year

Jones Marner

Fair enough, I think Chicago has a strong enough appeal (less pressure but still a strong fanbase and promising looking future) to convince Marner to stay long term and I wouldn't be worried if I was Davidson.
Marner is a top 5 playmaker, top 10 at worst and the franchise has an all world talent and sniper in Bedard and a league worst goals for.
Not sure about RHD but, I've seen so many Chicago fans preach about how great the D prospect depth is I thought they wouldn't mind losing Jones

trades that nobody will like
I think Patrick Roy would like the NYI trade, he went with Varlamov over Sorokin in the playoffs and he would gain a good young center

Marchessault
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ht42</b></div><div>1st : Vegas didn't gonna have the cap space.
2nd : I don't see Jonathan sign with the Habs, but more like the NYI for joining his former HC Patrick Roy with the Québec Remparts.
3rd : A more realistic scenario for the Habs via free agency is Stamkos, because of St-Louis and Lecavalier who work now with the Habs.</div></div>
Vegas has 14mil in cap space and not many spots needed to fill, unless Hanifin signs (if he decides to stay and resign at all) for a crazy number they should be fine and be able to keep Marchessault

With retention you should at the very least be able to recoup the 3rd you gave up to acquire Smith, maybe even a tiny bit extra

Next Year
You might be able to swing that Kampf deal with someone, he's more likely to be a dump but, not impossible someone pays a little something.
Robertson and McBain are either equal or McBain is more valuable, I don't see how a 24yr old 6'4 center playing consistently in the NHL is less valuable than a 5'9 winger that can't keep his spot on the lineup of a team looking for consistent depth scoring

Marchessault
Marchessault could sign in Vegas for 5.5mil and make more money than he would in MTL at 6.8mil. If he signed in MTL he'd have to really want to.
No real need to sign Barrie, MTL would be better served acquiring an overpayed cap dump if one is available and having that player as the 7th D and playing the already numerous young D they have

Making Space on Defense
Savard isn't worth a 1st even with retention, similar to Tanev a 2nd and a decent prospect at most.
Also Caps have a similar LHD problem don't see them wanting Matheson

Why would MTL do that? That doesn't help them in anyway
Jarry and Montembault are the same (decent goalies), so the goaltending doesn't improve
Karlsson is good but, not good enough to get Pitt to the playoffs so how does he get the Habs there?

Edmonton is definitely not trading Kane especially with retention, also Debrusk and Henrique get more, both get closer to 5mil

More realistic offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>spockrock</b></div><div>Fast is underrated. Perfect top 9 guy, can play on any line and in any situation. Sure, he’s not going to give you 20g or 40pts, but he’s one of those glue guys that do the little things that contribute to wins.
To me, the main decisions the Canes have 3 major decisions to make this off-season:
1 - Which one of Necas/Guentzel do they keep? Jarvis being retained is a given. Personally, I think Guentzel walks and they keep Necas.
2 - The blue line. Is it financially feasible/responsible to keep one of Pesce/Skjei? If both walk, who replaces one of them in the top 4?
3 - Which center out of Kuzetsov, Kotkaniemi or Drury do you jettison? Not enough room on roster to keep all 3 and bad for cap to keep them all. My bet is they end up trading Drury for a young-ish roster D and keep the other 2. Dumpling Kotkaniemi is likely too costly.</div></div>
Oh lol, didn't mean he's a bad player or anything, just that if right situation came that the Canes would ask Fast if he would waive to be traded.
Whereas Staal I don't think the Canes would ask

No trades needed
Unless Reinbacher gets the Rocket to the playoffs and then wins AHL Conn Smythe, he should play in the AHL all year next year. The team isn't in a rush for him to play
Also just noticed you added a forward that Habs might draft straight to the NHL, whoever they pick should go back to junior or the AHL, again Habs don't need to rush anything

You severely overestimate the value of Eller and Smith or undervalue Lohrei and Berggren
I could see it with the KK trade but, even then he's still young enough they probably won't need to attach a 2nd

The future
I mean, Ullmark is almost 100% percent leaving and outside of Swayman who if everything goes well for Boston will sign somewhere around 7-8mil range long term.
After that they have 17ish mil to sign a center and round out the top 4 on LD.
Boston is lucky because the UFA center having the best season right now is Monahan and with his injury history there is a decent chance he signs for a fair price (5-7mil max) making it harder for everyone else to break the bank. (This is just a guess, some teams might not care and start throwing crazy money around)
Edit: sorry forgot to quote\reply to you

The future
If I'm Boston, I don't move Carlo unless the team starts sucking out of nowhere. He's got 3 more years at an extremely reasonable price.
Even if Peeke performs out of his mind, Carlo is only 1yr older so it's not like you extend a cup window by swapping them and it would be a cap difference of only 1.5mil
