In a growing cap:

Why would Bertuzzi take less?
Why would DOmi settle for what hes making now (On his 5th/6th team in 8 yrs)?
Why does Liljegren take just 2mil or Benoit 1mil or Robertson just 900k?

What happens in the post season that makes the leafs attractive for these discounts OR is it that yiou have to lowball people just to fit under the cap?

Bertuzzi is not worth $5.5 million this year. He likely takes another one year deal for less to try and increase his value again. So don't agree with 3x$5 million but could see 1x$5 million.

The Leaf's will move on from Domi. I don't understand why he wouldn't settle for $3 million, if you look at his production he isn't playing up to his current contract.

I can see Beniot making more then $1 million, but Liljegren's play doesn't justify a raise. The Leaf's likely move on from Robertson as well, his name was floated at the deadline.

The Leaf's makeup isn't working and likely another first round exit. This team needs a big shake up, so doesn't make sense to bring back a lot of the same guys on expiring contracts.

Bert may not take that contract
Domi wants to be a leaf so if he wants to stay then take the deal
Lilly has not played well enough for a larger bump in pay, he is a 3rd pair guy who will probably get bumped out in the playoffs again this season for the 3rd year in a row.
Robertson is coming off an elc and has never held a full time spot why would he get more and the leafs control him so they can say sign it or sit.
