caps revamp

Created by: zdcaps
Team: 2024-25 Washington Capitals
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 13, 2024
Published: Mar. 13, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Arvidsson on a paciorretty type deal this year. Bonus, no trade clause if he wants.
Stolarz/rittich/talbot/wedgewood as a cheap backup
Would love to make a run at Marchessault but I think he goes to a better contender. Also like Duclair for scoring depth.
Not sure on the cap hits but think they should be close-ish.

There's no incentive for Winnipeg to sell Perfetti that cheap.

That's fair...price is definitely on the cheaper side. They've got him playing 10 mins a game, so I could see him being movable. I'm more than fine giving up another or a better prospect if that's what it comes to.

I'd be shocked if Los Angeles offered Matt Roy less than 5 x 5.

Caps for sure don't need to add the 3rd in the TOR trade
If the Caps trade Jensen, I''d rather they don't sign acquire RHD and just run Carly, TvR, and Bear/Iorio
Same thing for backup goalie, I'd rather see Stevenson there as he's been by far the best goalie in the AHL and he's only 25

Earlier in the year he was a fixture in the top 6. Now after a wrist injury they're playing him less because the have the depth to do so. Extremely unlikely that the Jets have given up on him and are ready to deal him for futures.

Now if you have a young top 4 RHD that you want to move, maybe a deal could be worked out.

I present to you Nick Jensen, he is of the young age 33 and despite his rough first half of the season, he is back to his old self.
