Maybe at the TDL that just passed, but don’t see why the Leafs would trade for dman (and lose one of very draft picks they have), when they can just sign equivalent in FA

Not sure why you even have to retain salary on Dowd, plus why not keep him?? Such a valuable guy to the Caps.
