LEAFS NEED TO MAKE CHANGES FOR PLAYOFFS:
I think Matthews and Marner should not play on a line, sure they have great chemistry but it has never clicked in playoffs. So instead play Holmberg who Matthews really enjoys playing with and has made some unbelievable plays on Matthews’ goals. Tonight’s game against the Flyers just shows that Matthews and Nylander NEED to play with each other in the playoffs.

Tonight Bertuzzi should have earned a spot on the top line but this evens it out a little bit. Bert and Domi played well in their stretch of time together. Just imagine Marner in the offensive zone, 4 things could happened:
1 Marner finds Bert sitting back door for an easy tap in goal
2 Fire a pass over to Domi and he rips it, easy goal
3 Marner looks off Bert and Domi and uses his very underrated shot, easy goal
4 Marner coughs up the puck and it’s a goal against

Having Johnny Toronto on the 3rd line should scare their opponent, unlike the others Johnny steps up in playoffs. I think Jarny is going to be huge this playoffs. Yeah, he was very underwhelming last year but he is your ideal hockey player, like good hockey sense, good shot, solid defensively and McMann is the same way and I’m pretty sure this was the line for a bit before this little break (correct me if I’m wrong) and id like to see it in the playoffs.

It hurts me to put Knies on the bottom line but I think it has to be done and just the other game he, Kampf and I can’t quite recall the other (maybe it was Dewar) had a great game.

Lyubushkin has really impressed me the last 2-3 games, at first I didn’t know about it but he has looked good since the first couple games.

The bottom four I had such a tough time deciding who goes where. It kills me to sit Lily but I think it has to be done. So keep Caber and Benny together and test out Brodie and Edmundson. I think Benoit has no room for error because I don’t think Keefe is scared to take him out to get that other right shot. I love Benny but he has to earn this because Lily has a case for it this year.

Give Sammy the nod in playoffs, he’s what? 14-3 since his recall or something and Woll hasn’t looked the same since coming back. (To be fair his games were against the Bruins). Woll will have his chances but Sammy has earned it.

Sign Webber and give him a couple games in the regular season.

LEAFS NEED MATTHEWS, MARNER AND NYLANDER TO STEP UP. In the situation of a 7 game series Matthews needs to be a goal per game like Drai last year. Marner and Nylander have to be smarter with the puck. PLEASE SOMEHOW SOMEWAY BEAT THE BRUINS!
