7 million of a 92.5 million cap is the same at 6.3 million now

Small buffalo tax to get him to sign

Panthers will trade ekblad before Bennett. He’s too important to their offense with their style of play. Ekblad is totally replaceable.

I mean, he has never had over 50 points in a season? Not sure how he would even get 6

I wouldn’t give it to him

If they weren't willing to give Mitts 7mill, what makes you think they will give it to Bennett and its a overpay

They never even discussed a contract with mittelstadt.

Bennett is a completely different player

Maybe it is an overpay, but he's a type of player we desperately need and I miss the playoffs

They didn't just trade Mitts without knowing Numbers

It was a hockey trade. Win win. I'd make it if Mitts had signed for 2 million

I doubt Florida will trade him away with 1 year of good contract.

He is due 3 mil raise, I guess Ekblad and Bobrovsky would be cap casualties before Bennett

You'd pay someone to take bobrovskys hit and then need to replace him

You are getting paid handsomely here for bennett

I dont follow Knight at all, but I assume buying out Bobrovsky should be on the menu. Florida cannot afford 10 mil goalie, they can afford to ran with two vets if Knight is not ready

But a buyout still costs $6.67 million against the cap
