I think at this point everyone in the flyers org (and the fans) have realized that Frost is by far the most skilled playmaker on the team, he has a skill set that literally no one on the team has, a top 15 protected pick and Nadeau (who has spent most of this season in ECHL) isn't enough to get the flyers to part with Frost at this point

A 4th rounder who has spent most of the year in ECHL and a 16-32nd pick TWO drafts away isn;t enough for Frost.

I think the Flyers have plenty of picks (and still 6th in conference) and value Frost more than they do pretty weak looking futures in that offer.

Maybe I misjudged his value a tad, but why is he 7th in TOI for forwards? He's not even playing 16 mins a night.

Be happy to make it top 8 or 10 protected.

Nadeau is caught behind all of our prospects who are in the AHL like kulich and Rosen and many others. My guess is he has quite a strong 2nd pro season.

Tortorella wasnt happy with Frost's 2 way play, so he was benched alot and then shifted around the lineup. Frost who is weak/average defensively only gets 15 minutes a game (but scores well above .5 ppg). But with Foerster, Tippett, Farabee, Koneckny, Cates, Coutturier, Laughton fighting for time in top 6 and Atkinson/Brink just outside top 7, Frost being 7th in TOI is about right.. And Tortorella plays most of his forwards 3rd line time (without PP, PK).

I just cant see a 4th round pick/playing in the ECHL as holding much value, (nor will he ever get the playing/development time in the BUF system to get any better) and a protected 1st TWO drafts away being enough.

Hard to say that Frost isnt worth Ostlund or a Kulich and a 2nd, as hes shown even in a defensive system he can get over .5ppg and has shown at the NHL level hes quality

he's 7th in TOI because tortorella doesn't appreciate that the mistakes he makes are made up for and then some by his offensive abilities. his consistency is a bit of a concern (i think he has more games without points than with points this year), but that doesn't excuse the lack of ice-time given that he's been as good or better than farabee and tippett over last two years

his per 60 rates over the last 130 games put him squarely as a 2C. 2024 has been the best hockey of his career and has been at a 1st line level. his scoring rates against playoff teams are 2x better than non-playoff teams as well and should be seen as the 2C of the future for this team
