Description
Still The Most important change that needs to be addressed is the Coaching Staff (especially the PP), i really don't see Dubas firing Sullivan but perhaps (like everything with the Pens) they'll retool around the coaching staff. e.g Promoting Sullivan to more of a "big-picture" guy, and give someone else the reins (ideally someone like Tortorella who'll keep everyone accountable and isn't afraid to make "tough" choices and take chances). and FIRE TODD REIRDEN!

CapFriendly's obsession with trading Detroit wingers they don't need will never die.

Acciari was quite decent in his first spell with the Blues, that said, we are not interested in a second spell as there are probably cheaper UFA's to get in the offseason. Only way I can see the Blues taking on Acciari's contract if you pay us for doing so.

I'm not opposed to taking a chance on Smith but that would very limit our ability to upgrade our defense with Roy or Pesce. If Raymond gets 7.7, Seider 8.7, Kane 6, then sign a solid bottom 6 forward like Joshua, Foegele or Carrier for around 2.5, we don't have enough for the defense upgrade with moving Fabbri. Leaves us about 1M short with a 20 man roster.
I think getting a solid defensive and physical bottom 6 forward is important. Acciari would actually fit that bill but ideally a bit of retention would be nice. He is positive on draws, physical and solid defensively, just getting up there in age for the style of game he plays which would be a bit worrisome.

At this point, we're looking at Raymond/Debrincat/Rasmussen on wings for sure with Kane and Berggren hopefully re-signed. If we don't re-sign Perron (And Kaplan was reporting that was in the works around the TDL) then a Fabbri trade probably wont happen. Either way, that pretty much accounts for your Top 9 wingers.

It's not really a cap matter, to me. We literally just don't have the room, and if we did, we're better off signing one of the guys expiring (Perron/Sprong) than trading any type of asset for Smith.

I agree, rather keep Perron around, if he's cheap enough. Spring, I feel anyways, might have priced himself out of Detroit.
