I never said he will be exactly like Nichushkin but people act like he was so good early in his career but he was a 20/30 point player just like Kakko is now…but Kakko is doing it while being slower lmao

There’s a bunch of examples of all kinds of players breaking out offensively later in their career lol

I already said that the probability is 90+% that what he is now is the best he is going to be. I didn't say there was no chance he could improve on his game. Statistically, it is quite unlikely. I don't think the Rangers did anything wrong. He wasn't a reach at the pick and they didn't do anything to him that would damage his development.

For every Nuke and Tage (who wasn't even a top-10 pick) there are countless others that either become role-players or never really make it in the NHL. Turcotte hasn't done anything in the NHL so, yeah, what of it? I get it, you like your guy and hope he turns out to be a good player but he may end up being a bust by your own definition. Take it personally if you want but it doesn't change that so, far, Kakko hasn't accomplished much as an NHL player.

The whole point is that he’s a good player lmao but morons on this site think “good = scoring a bunch of points”

Newsflash, there’s more to hockey than just scoring

I don’t know what you want Kakko to do lmao he’s playing 11 minutes a game at 5v5

Since coming back from injury his goals per 60 ranks 65th and is better than kucherov, Tkachuk, Horvat, Robertson…..

I don't give two craps about what Kakko becomes; the question was asked and answered. You're the one getting offended by the responses. Cherry-pick all the stats you like but your guy isn't a difference-maker at this point in his career. Maybe he turns it around, maybe he doesn't; either way, it doesn't effect my life in any way.

Lmao neither was Nichushkin! 😂

But I bet if the Avs traded for Kakko you’d be like “we can turn him around and he has a lot of potential like Nichushkin“

It still doesn’t qualify him as a bust or a bad player lol there’s not a lot of 3rd line players who are better than him, if any

At this time he is 100% a bust to me. I also found it amusing that Seravelli was ridiculing Rags fans at the deadline for pretending to believe Kakko held much value at all in a trade.

Why? Lol they’re a top 3 team in the league still after a gauntlet of a recent schedule

Who knew a team filled with busts could be good 🤔

The Rangers rebuild was successfully because Panarin, Fox, and Trouba more or less forced their way there. None of their top 10 picks have materialized into what was expected. Also, how many SCs have these Rangers teams won again?

Lol yea Trouba real game changer….but let’s ignore KAM, chytil, laffy, Kakko, Schneider, trocheck, etc

You act like it’s an easy thing to do winning a Stanley Cup lol but at least they’re trying and not sucking

Sure, there’s a possibility he regresses to nothing. very doubtful but possible. There’s a long list of players drafted high that take time to develop. Necas is another. I’m not about to make a long list for you, hell, MacK took half of his career to break out. But as we can agree it’s not an absolute guarantee. Just very very likely
