Description

Chychrun is a good all around top 4 dman and an upgrade on Jokiharju (who I think is a bit of a tweener: not a puck rusher/pt producer and not a stay at home/crease clearer), and probably a better vet, who is still young to pair with Power. (although short term deals to UFAs like Tanev, Pesce, DUmba could also work)
Laughton brings good two way play and vet leadership to the young Rosen and Delauriers is a good 13th: good fighter, near lge lead in hits every year, and can take a regular shift, unlike guys like MacDermid, Reaves, etc...

But need to get at least 2 of Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich, Rosen in lineup while adding good physical two way vets, with a good mix of young young guys and vets throughout lineup and keeping cap space

Foegele is a quality 3LW but you could also go for Dakota or Trenin.

Ottawa declines, the Philly trade is an overpay to just scratch D-lo (but I like the idea of a player like him), I wouldn't do the Ottawa trade either with Chychrun needing a new contract shortly, way too much cap tied up in the blue line with Byram needing a new deal soon

Not enough I know, but couldn;t find the missing piece, and didn;t want kulich, ostlund, rosen, savoie as part of it, but couldn;t find a better fit.

Maybe Laughton and Deslauriers for Krebs and a 1st and then Jokiharju, a 2nd, a 3rd and ? (a 4th?) for Chychrun (obviously not all in same draft year).

Could just deal Jokiharju for picks and hit UFA for that better 2RD fit (Dumba, Pesce, Tanev)

This is horrible for the Sabres

1- HARD PASS on the Philly trade. No interest in Laughton

2- Sabres aren’t trading for ANOTHER Left Handed defenseman

Laughton and good at anything is an oxymoron. Dude is a sub replacement level, negative impact player. At least Krebs is actually good defensively.
