We gave up a 1st, 2nd and 4th for Hronek, his value has skyrocketed since coming to VAN, there's no way we take such a poor offer for him.

I mean I think this offer is slightly better then what we paid (although I will admit I thought that was a top 10 pick when i made it) if he prices himself out of VAN and we can acquire Andersson to replace him I wouldn't hate it. Generally though I wouldn't do that trade at all

If you looked at the Caps ACGM, we all agreed the Leafs won't be doing that deal, so Washington doesn't have Lilly to trade him to the Caps

It's absolutely trash compared to what we paid, we gave up a 1st in an extremely strong draft class (that pick became Axel Sandin-Pelikka) along with other picks, in this deal we'd be getting something like 17th and 110th overall in a SIGNIFICANTLY weaker draft class. I'd only do that deal if WSH also included Dylan Strome but it doesn't matter, management know Quinn Hughes loves playing with Hronek and 43 only has 3 years left on his deal, keeping his favorite linemate around is crucial to getting him to stay in VAN long term.

I see the caps being very interested in Hronek and with their 1st being most likely mid-round I’m much more willing to move it. I don’t think that trade is far off in value

Yea CGY isn't doing that. Late 1st and late 2nd aren't much interest to CGY. Top prospect would probably have to be added

We'd also be getting Timothy Liljegren in it who is a really good Dman
