This is the furthest thing from appealing from a Blues fans POV. Don't see any reason why they'd move Hofer, he's been fantastic and is primed to take over for Binnington probably in the near future. Although Binnington has been nothing short of fantastic this year so it may push the timeline back. I have no idea what Kastelic does, but Toropchenko doesn't look like he'll be moved this offseason he plays a heavy game, is a good skater and has a big frame. He's been scoring alot more goals than expected this season as well. In terms of Buchnevich for Chychrun I can see the rationale there. But unless we're somehow getting out from under Krug this offseason I don't see a real fit. We tie up his money into the defense and lose Buchnevich we're already cutting into our weakest area which is secondary scoring.
Forsberg has been awful for you guys this year, which i'm not sure if it's a true testament to him or just how dysfunctional the Senators team defense is in general. I wouldn't want that contract when we have the money we do already dedicated to Binnington. I definitely don't see the benefit of swapping Buchnevich for Chychrun to be worth moving Buch and Toropchenko for Kastelic and Forsberg and a 3rd. I'm not sure if I even see the benefit in a 1 for 1 given where we are currently at and what we already have cap commitments to.
