Trouba doesn’t have that value. If anything he’s like a 2nd at the most?

An elite winger would take probably othmann and 1st+

Othmann is next up at RW for Mika's line next year in my opinion. I highly doubt Drury moves Trouba this off season, he brings too much to the team.

And you’ll see him not succeed because he’s exactly like Mika….not good at 5v5 but sick shot for powerplay

My bad. I didn't mean trouba for an elite player. I meant trade trouba and in a different trade or FA get a winger

Can Chytil ever play again? That question has to be answered first.

Yeah, I can't agree that Mika isn't good at 5v5 to begin with and no one can know if Othmann will succeed of fail until he gets a shot.

I think every Ranger fan hopes the same thing. He is too young to be this hurt but also too young to risk his long term health. I hope he can play again, but who knows?

I mean take a look at his AHL stats lol
9/17 goals and 17/27 assist on the powerplay…59% of his points

He won’t be seeing much powerplay time in the nhl

I wouldn’t hold my breath for chytil…wish him the best but he isn’t gonna be the same player when you’re scared a hit will officially end his career

I’m all for it but it’ll take othmann and 1st+ to even get an elite top 6 RW and I can’t even think of any for sale

Maybe someone like Laine or kyrou would be available depending what the their teams are looking at doing in the off-season

Laine just seems like a problem on and off the ice, so I’d pass and Kyrou could be interesting but i don’t know why STL would sell him

I think if the players assistance program can help Laine he might get his act together

I’d bet Buch doesn’t waive to come back…management definitely ruined that relationship

Not a big believer in just looking at stats. Want to see him play in the NHL with top 6 guys like Mika and Kreider, that is the only way to know for sure how he will respond to the opportunity.

Well if Trouba has a 15 team list, that very well could be a lot of the teams that can afford his full cap hit. Are you willing to retain 2-4M? It’s not the worst retention for just 2 years, however, you have to think of Miller, Shesterkin, Lafreniere etc too. They could all warrant a lot, as well if you want to get better too.

I’m just saying you just temper your expectations lol he’s a middle 6 winger and mostly LW which complicates things

They should trade him and the 1st for a legit top 6 RW if they can

He hasn't played a game in the NHL yet and you already have judged his play as middle 6. I wish I knew the future like that. My point is he is young and full of potential, so they should let him play in the NHL with some skilled guys to actually see what they have. Not to mention he also is very affordable at the moment in a salary cap league.

I mean his play in the juniors and AHL so far give you a good idea of what to expect. If he makes the lineup next year, then good. If not, doesn’t hurt to grow another year in the AHL lol

Don’t need another Laffy, Kakko, kravtsov, Andersson on our hands

What is wrong with Laffy? And Kakko is not in the same category as the other two at all.
