I believe both squads would pass. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t imagine that St Louis would want a 26 year old Lindgren, instead would want a younger player, or prospect (preferably defence).

New York gets a good top 6 forward, sure, however, they are filling a hole to gain another one here. Lindgren is a huge part of their defence. Loosing him would make that defence core horrible!

That all makes sense. Wonder who’d be a good partner for St. Louis in a Buchnevich trade

both teams say no for different reasons
St Louis wants futures
Lindgren is to value to the rangers defense so it'll be an addition by subtraction

I’m willing to bet that Buch doesn’t waive for the rangers. I’m guessing there’s bad blood there

Plus I think they could get more for Buchy from another team

For stl, Armstrong has specifically said he wants players close in age to Thomas and kyrou. They are both like 24 or 25 so a 26 year old is right in line with what they want.

Definitely not sure that buch would go there but that seems like good value for a guy on the last year of his contract. A young #2/3 defenseman plus a first is pretty good. I do think they would want the 24 first though

Perhaps it’s a draft day trade?

Not bad value wise at least for NYR, but I'm not crazy about these things that worked in the past moves. They shouldn't have traded Buch, but it is done, time to move on...

Pass on rental Buch. Lindgren is more valuable 1 v 1 and to our team. He's hard to replace given his future decent cap.

Thanks for letting me know! I appreciate it. I assumed they would want younger players, especially defenders.

Have a great one!
