Avs 2 years from now - Avs keep Rants

Description
Just a reply to the Avs can’t afford Rants conversation.
Obviously the Avs cap is drastically affected by Landy’s ability to return and the level at which he can play.
The Colton trade could be to any team.
Ritchie might be on an optimistic timeline but I think he will be ready to play as a rookie in 2 years he could be good enough to take the 3c spot as a rookie.
Goalie and 3c are up in the air just because I don’t know who will be the best option but there is 6m to spend on them and scratches. It’s not a lot but it’s enough.

Don't mind me, just a little disappointed he isn't going to be traded to Detroit, even though we couldn't afford him anyways lol

Never say never. There's really no reason for the Avs to trade him that makes any kind of obvious sense (beyond maybe pipe dreams of trading him and Mittlestadt's rights and signing Guentzel and trading for Crosby....proper silliness that I almost did an April Fools post for) but stranger things have happened. Just be prepared for the whopping cost if it does happen lol.

By the way, my whole AGM was based on "if" they don't sign him.

I was actually trying to see if we could fit him, we really can't. We likely already have to move cap out for Seider and Raymond so adding Rantanen would be even more difficult. He stays in Colorado though.
