I get that argument. I think the justification in this case is that A) Dubois has a higher ceiling and the ability to fill in when Larkin is injured, B) there is almost 2m in retention, C) Veleno is going to sign closer to 2m this offseason. Not exactly a 7m increase but the point is still valid that they have similar point totals.
