Arvidsson played 13 games this year, hard to see anyone giving him 4 mil
Skjei is getting more term than 4 years.
Way to much term for Ned. They have 2 goalies in the system. In 2-3 years they will be 1-2 most likely.
While it's nice to think Jake will take a discount. I have my doubts.

well if you think I gave arvidsson too much just take that amount and put it on Jake. I don't think he'll make 10+mil

Jake isnt coming back.

Hawks would rather sign Arvidsson for that contract than give up an asset for Smith.

Some team might give you a late round pick for Smirh but it won't be the Hawks. And nobody is paying a 1st for Jarry.

arvidsson would rather have a shot at playoffs and potentially play with one of the two best player of this generation... who knows

on Jake you might be right but again nobody really knows what is going on behind the scenes.. we'll see

this is actually a trade I saw on a kings fan post. actually the trade was jarry and the kid that was drafted 5th oa who played with huges and zegras forgot his name ...

I thought it was a bit too much so I just wanted the 1st

on smith I agree, definitely somebody will give up a pick for him if we chose to move cap. too bad for the hawks he is a good guy and potentially very serviceable for a team like the hawks.

you might have a point here, thought arvidsson could be an upgrade and add some speed (didn't really follow him with the kings but with Nashville he was a beast)

So the trade was Jarry for Turcotte or Jarry for a 1st + Turcotte? As for Smith, the Hawks aren't giving up any draft capital for one year rentals. That's a move a playoff contending team makes. Not a team in the middle of a rebuild.

So a guy who was a 40 goal scorer and a PPG player for PIT, and everyone said.... "oh crosby blah blah blah"...... and now in CAR he's almost a 1.5 PPG player isn't going to get paid??????
He's getting paid. He's not taking a discount. Someone is giving him 7-8 years on a big money deal.
It most likely won't be PIT.

yeah the trade was a 1st + Turcotte . as for the hawks you are increasing the draft capital because you give up a 5th round pick in the summer to get a 2nd or at least a 3rd at the tdl. that was my thought process at least.

pens fans ( and I am one of them) always knew what his value was. in car he is doing well but pit is where his game was at his best and is home for him.

I gave him 8.59 mil to do a similar thing Crosby did with their jersey numbers when signing te contract... it was just funny. plus there is 1.2 mil spare so you can add that and make it 7x9.7 already which is more than enough for him to sign in pit.

for Carolina however it will take at least 10.5 or even 11.
