Unfortunately, due to the tax difference, to take home the same money or around there, he would have to sign for 9.8M in Pittsburgh. The disadvantage of competing against teams like Tampa, Vegas, Dallas and Florida.

Detroit has zero interest in a 31 year old William Karlsson making 3 x $5,900,000 we already have Copp and Compher as our 3C and 2C respectively with Kasper and Danielson coming up. We've better areas to spend that $5,900,000 on like upgrading our worthless D.
