No hate; he’s simply overrated. Defensive dmen don’t (or shouldn’t) make $6.5M, and 30 year old dmen with 6 years left should be avoided. Throw in a significant acquisition cost (potentially), and it’s just a truly horrible deal for the Leafs (or any team trying to acquire him).
