Also, that's not close value either, but not the point

The Canes sign Brady Skjei to a 2 year deal and then offer him and Philly's 2nd (assuming they get it back) for Cole Caufield.

As an unbiased non-Carolina fan, 0.7 PPG Martin Necas is comparable to 0.7 PPG Cole Caufield even if you ignore his defensive superiority. That's not enough for Cole Caufield so it's not enough for Martin Necas.

Caufield is 2 years younger and outscoring Necas. Caufield is also signed long-term, while Necas is not. Matheson is also outscoring Skjei significantly.
