A 20 man roster is not a thing.

Is there a rule explicitly stopping it? From what I understand 20 is the minimum. Eventually injuries will create enough cap space for another 2 players.

There's no rule against it, but it becomes an issue when you have someone who has a nagging injury that needs a night or two off - perfect example right now is Noah Dobson. You *could* put him on LTIR and free up the cap space to call someone up, but LTIR specifically states that a player must be out for 10 game or 24 days, whichever comes first. So you either have 8 extra games of Grant Hutton playing every night, or you find the way to have a couple of healthy scratches that you can rotate in and out of the lineup as necessary.

I haven’t seen it be effectively managed at 20. Probably not worth the difference of 1.5M in forward quality. You may have to pick up someone like Arvidsson, but that’s realistic

Just exploit LTIR for room. I'm only joking if there's no way to do it. smile

Honestly, I think we should go after Monahan, and idk if we can pull it off without blowing our wad.
