This doesn’t make sense for Montreal. Keller is a great player but Montreal isn't really in a spot right now to be selling assets. Especially a top pick like that

Not sure Montreal would want Clayton Keller that badly. But let's say they want him Suzuki and Slafkovsky for CC to go play with Dach and Newhook... they'd just trade for him without trying to unload other unnecessary assets for unnecessary assets...

So the trade would be Montreal's first pick this year for Keller... which is about fair value
