There is nothing left to play for this season.
SJS get the 13th or 14th pick.
A late run stops Dubas from getting thrown under the bus for trading picks he has no business trading. Hopefully he learned something.

They might as well see what a few of these younger players can do. Blom can get his first taste of the NHL. Rathbone and Ponomarev can get a game in and see what they have.

It's not like it matters if they win or lose at this point. They don't get the pick and they aren't going to the playoffs. So who cares.

It would be really nice if they could call up Pickering and Yager for a game but that's not going to happen.
Or if they would have had the foresight to sign Broz already.....but here we are.

There's a limit to roster moves they can make and this would definitely exceed it. Given they made zero in season coaching changes, I couldn't care less what they do. Organization doesn't care about winning any longer. If Crosby wants to stay as all signs indicate, he should be comfortable with never playing a relevant game again in his career.

I will kinda disagree about the organization doesn't care about winning, but the personnel moves in in the last number of years shows they don't know how to win.. But that is true with lots of middling teams.They seem to repeat the same mistakes over and over again.

However, an organization unwilling to change coaching staff in season is a sign of an organization unwilling to make the changes needed to improve. Particularly this organization that might have won zero SCs in the Crosby era without changing coaching staffs in season. Name another NHL staff that has received more latitude for less recent accomplished. League's worst PP alone is a firable offense in any organization that wants to make the playoffs.
