Its been one year of Dubas, give him a little time

I think Dubas has been fine given the impossible task of:
Give the team a chance while collecting assets

You typed all of that about something that you know has a 0% chance of happening?

A.) Let’s show some class and level headed patience to Dubas who has been employed for one season, and was tasked with the hell that was cleaning up Hextall’s complete mess. He’s done fine when taking into account said Hextall mess, and the new ownerships’ desire to remain competitive with Crosby, Malkin, and Letang.

B.) If im not mistaken, Torts is still under term at $4 million per year, and has certainly not coached his way to a Philly firing. They would not let him go. Also, I find it amusing that your sighting Torts’ willingness to play young players by referencing his willingness to give minutes to perennial top picks Dubois, and Werenski. Very bold of him to play those high picks. Injury riddled Poulin is surely on par with those two!

C.) This week Carle stated that he has every desire to remain Denver’s head coach, sighting that he and his young family love it there and that he does not want to uproot them for an NHL job, where the turnover rate is very high.

This isn’t NHL 24 GM mode. We hired Dubas and thrusted a daunting task upon him, as well as a desired path by ownership to attempt to remain competitive while also restocking young assets. Not easy to do. Here’s a rational idea, at least give him 1 summer without the Hextall shackles before we come out and say that we’d rather hire Torts, with no experience in that role, as GM!

Not to mention trying to do both of those things while also having to right Hextall’s wrongs in a single summer. Everyone is disappointed that we didn’t make it, but Dubas has been fine, given the circumstances.

But has he though?
I mean honestly. he did nothing to fix the 3rd pair defense all year.
He traded away out 1st round pick for EK who the team didn't need and frankly didn't improve the team.
He traded Jake for what has been clearly panned as a bad return by many of the fan base.
His "plan" for lack of a better word, for the bottom 6 has been an utter failure.

He moved out better assets in our 1s and 2nd round picks than any assets he brought in and the cost return on those moves definitely favored the other teams.
One could say he made a bigger mess than Hextal at this point. As that 10 mil EK contract, good luck moving it.

While you are here saying "give him more time".... well people did the same for Hextal .... how did that work out. What he didn't manage to absolutely destroy in year 1 he sure as hell managed to do in year 2.

It's pretty clear as stated above why Dubas shouldn't be trusted to guide this team forward any longer.

As for Torts playing younger players, you are clearly not familiar. He played all kinds of younger players. Those are just some names, Sunny Milano, even Benstrom up there was a 4th round pick played his 1st year, age 20 I believe. 56 games and 5 in the playoffs 1st year. Maybe get facts straight.

As far as the Torts contract..... yes maybe PHL wouldn't let him go. That's a possibility. But maybe they would as his desire to be in the front office and a GM. It's not like PHL would hold him back and they don't have a GM job for him. There is plenty of talk in PHL that maybe he should step down from the bench and go to the front office. Which is how we got to this conversation to begin with. So they might not mind him not coaching as much as you think.

As for Carle you never know till you ask the guy. People don't get high paying NHL jobs all the time. Some times the best thing you can do is take the money.
