Those three Hawks players are all under 30 years old, play important roles in the rebuild (and perhaps beyond), and have the advantage of being actual NHL players (unlike the three players accompanying JT in this contemplated trade.) So, it comes down to trading three NHLers of importance to the Hawks, for one year of JT and two, late 1st round picks who may never touch the NHL... I think the Hawks decline.

I don’t see the point in the flyers trade. We don’t need him or need to get rid of Nick as he can just be scratched and we are paying u for it

JT isn't waiving to go to Chicago. And the Leafs aren't trading away two 1st rounders to add Jason Dickinson and Ryan Donato. You didn't even put Kurashev on the roster, so the Hawks will just claim him back off waivers. I think the Hawks might make the deal, but the Leafs and JT don't.

Brutal trade. Logic is missing. Moves on from bad contract to bad contract with longer term while losing 2 firsts and a leader in the room

CHI/TOR trade makes no sense for either team, even if Tavares was willing to waive.
