It will be tough to make the playoffs with an 18 man roster, and once there Monty is gonna be awfully tired.

I think Guhle’s deal is going to be atleast 6M$/season, and potentially even close to 7M$. I’d host a Kent Hughes celebration party if he gets Guhle to sign your deal. That’s extremely favourable for the Habs.

According to a lot of MTL fans, MTL has no need to create cap space. But, even if they do end up having a need to dump cap, for one reason or another, dumping Anderson is gonna cost way more than another expensive aging player with term who is an LD, which is a position CHI DOES NOT need. If anything, we need a big physical defense first Right shot dman.

If that is actually a trade proposal, the Hawks obviously decline.

There is no way they decline that trade. They don't need the cap space and can flip both (if Anderson bounces back) for assets, especially Matheson.

Sorry, but that is the easiest of declines. Matheson isn't a player the Hawks need. They have FOUR excellent prospects at LD already who all need NHL ice time. So there's no spot for Matheson in Chicago. And one year of Matheson alone probably isn't enough to take on the last 2 seasons of Anderson anyway. Let Hughes trade them to some team that wants them if they are so valuable.

Gee you're way under the cap floor, And this team is nowhere close to being a playoff team, Buffalo/Detroit and Ottawa are all better by a country mile.
