I hope dubas is right and the young players are going to push for a spot here. lots of youth incoming that can give a nice spark to this team, nice energy to be more consistent.

I know that Jake returning isn't realistic, but it would be a masterclass. getting good assets + bunting and resigning him wow.

I think jars time in pit is over after this season. I think he will have a decent market (many teams looking for goalies with no decent goalies in free agency) and if dubas and sully see enough in Blomqvist for me it is a no brainer.

left 4mil in cap so that if the youngsters don't make it we have some room to sign better players even if it not really needed. yager would be switched with puustinen and poj instead of pickering... ore even shea.

also left 4m for next season and more importantly for a nice trade if we find ourselves in a good spot come the TDL.

ideally dubas should also try to trade graves even if it is not going to be easy

Would be dope if Yager/Pickering are ready, but sucks to see Puusty/Poulin wasted.
Not against moving Jarry to keep Ned, but dont know if we can get that kind of return.

I like most of what you have done here.

But lets just have this out. Is Jake a franchise players?
I don't think so.
So I'm not paying him like one. An that's where that ends.
