I don't think Nashville is a team for Chiarot. I'm curious which teams might be interested in him.

Haha, no, that's not worth the retention, let alone downgrading Gibson into Husso.

Don't want or have room for Fabri, don't have room for Willander, definitely don't want Husso.

Trades have to work for both teams. Unloading 9 million in dead cap and then laundering another 3 million in exchange for a pick in the 50s and a middle of the road prospect, to say nothing of giving up the best player in the deal, is a complete non starter.

Fabbri is a 28-year-old 0.5 PPG bottom-6 lame duck at a position where we have a surplus already, Husso is a barely adequate backup, Wallinder is a nice prospect but we have 5 NHL-qualified left-handed defensemen on next season's roster already, and that future second will be of little impact until 2027. It's actually hard to imagine who on our roster we would accept that package for, but it certainly isn't enough for John Gibson without 50% retention.

In general, you can't construct reasonably rational trades if your starting point is What spare parts can I afford to give up? and then looking around to see what you'd most like to have from another team, or vice versa. Here, this feels like you started out by asking yourself Who is the goaltender I'd most like to have? and then tried to throw as little value as possible at him.

You will not get the moon and the stars for Gibson, you are overvaluing him. If anything this is an overpay. He finished the year with an .888 and last year was under .900. If he doesn't get traded he will probably get bought out. Wallinder is far more than a middle of the road prospect. Sorry, but you won't get McDavid for a goalie who just posted an .888 on the wrong side of 30.

Nobody is saying Gibson is worth that much. What he was saying is the package you have is bull****. The last thing Anaheim needs is left handed wingers or defense so half the package back is useless to the ducks. Add to that there is really no motivation to trade gibson, the team has tons of cap space, Verbeek can sit on gibson's contract for a couple more years at least until he needs to think about trading or buying him out. There is a reason he hasn't been traded the last several seasons, it's because the Ducks are perfectly happy to pay him to be mediocre as they ease Dostal into the starting role.
