Trading a bottom-6 winger for a 2nd pairing RHD? What don't you get about that?

Edmonton declines. I really like Kostin, but he's not worth $2M or Ceci.

Francis just hangs up the phone. They're too high on Kartye to trade him for another prospect, even if they are the same age and position

I guess so. You and his last 7 NHL coaches disagree.

First saw the Kostin for Ceci trade idea in a post from an Oiler's fan. It had the Sharks retaining on Kostin, which they can't do as they have no retention spots left. I read a lot of Oiler fans complaining about Ceci. He'd still be an upgrade for the Sharks. Thought I could get him on the cheap since Edmonton fans seem to love Kostin and hate Ceci, but maybe that was a real Klim Shady deal. How about Ceci for a 3rd?

I mean Ceci has pretty regular numbers, he’s marginally positive on the ice on a stacked team. He would probably be one or two best dman on the sharks but he’s like marginal improvement on Ruuta IMO. I think there is a good chance Emberson would do as good in the role if he stays healthy. He’s not someone that really moves the needle and is paid appropriately. Kostin if we can mold him into a depth scorer / real middle six player is more valuable.
