Description

Sheldon Keefe is fired and replaced by Craig Berube. Guy Boucher and Brendan Shanahan are also fired. John Tavares is stripped of the captaincy and informed that he will not be offered a contract extension beyond the 2024-25 season. He, however refuses to waive his NMC and plays out the season in Toronto. Auston Matthews is made the new captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Mitch Marner is sick of the media attention of Toronto and waives his NMC to go to the Ottawa Senators.
