well hopefully the Sens take him!

How id rank Draft NEEDS
I've got a similar list but am just a bit higher on Helenius. Have him at 8.
Really hope one of the top 5 falls to us at 7.

Who says no
Frankly this trade just doesn't make sense for either team.
Carolina doesn't need Chychrun in the slightest with Orlov, Nikishin, and Skjei already on their left side. And I don't think they should be taking such a risk on Norris when they are in such a win now mode. If Norris gets moved, it would make sense for him to go to a team that is retooling and can be patient with him.
Also, I don't think the Sens should move him. It probably won't be a couple years until he's back to his usual self but I'm willing to wait because he's an incredible 2-way sniper. He will be a very good player again and if we move him to clear cap in a year we won't even be all that competetive in it will come back to haunt us.
As for Ottawa, I don't see why we would want Kotkeniemi. He's not all that, is making too much, and we are already deep down the middle. And Necas would just be more of what plagued us this season. He's a good player, don't get me wrong, but he's not strong defensively and we need more veterans. We shouldn't be spending cap on 1-way wingers. We really need some solid, hard to play against 2-way veterans that make like 2-4 mil ish.
We should just trade Chychrun for a solid veteran and a pick to replenish our prospect pool and hang on to Norris.
Brannstrom to Carolina for Fast would be a more sensable trade.

just looked into him, pretty impressive numbers for a 21 year old in the KHL!
Thanks
I'm pretty sure he's no longer draft eligible though so we would have to sign him I think???

TVR to OTT makes a ton of sense. Unless we use up too much cap space somewhere else, Sens should accept.

Philly would you accept
I am not a fan of this. Greig is a keeper. Move Chychrun for picks/young players and maybe a vet. Draft a good player to restock our prospect pool with Boston's 1st. I love Konecny but he is not a need at all. We already have Batherson and Giroux.
Better off if spending any assets to goaltending, top defensive RD, a 3rd line RW, and get better depth.

good start on the Chychrun trade but WSH needs to add something.

I wouldn't mind it if the Sens move Chychrun and Branny and then add Dumoulin to gain some size on the 3rd pair.
Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-Tanev/DeMelo/Roy
Dumoulin/another big veteran that they could get for a mid round pick (TVR maybe, or Whitecloud would be great-although he would cost more)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Not really imo. Signing Pinto to a 5-6 year deal would be the worst case . 2 years of meh Sens team and then only locked up for 3 years of competitive team after that . Not good. I’d rather 1-2 year deal that takes him to age 25 and then lock him up on an 8 year deal till age 33</div></div>
fair enough but going 8 years should be plan A

Trades seem reasonable but not locking up Pinto longterm would be a tough pill to swallow and I will have no faith in this team if Korpi is the starter again.

Caps can keep Milano. What about the WSH 2024 1st, one of their 2025 2nds, and TVR for Chyhcrun. Dowd and Lindgren would be of interest too.
