Description
They probably also sign a bunch of vets to cheap 1 way deals and stack the AHL team which moves to South SLC

Next season they go for a big time G like Igor Shesterkin, or at TDL

Stammer, Sid and Jake are the identity of the new team...the culture is built around them

And there you have it...the next Vegas!!!

Ok cool. Subject change if I may...any ideas on who the new Sharks coach will be? My gut says they go with someone who has been around or maybe they wait for the playoffs to end?

Likely Warsofsky, who was presumed to be kind of the coach-in-training when he was hired.

Los Angeles, Miami, and New York. Why do you think those players went there? They're literally the most desirable cities in the states.

SLC seems like a beautiful city but there's about 15-20 cities in the NHL that are as/more desirable than SLC

Re Warsofsky...ok interesting...don't know anything about him so no fair opinion but I would think they go for a filler guy like Berube.

Re SLC...Its beautiful city yes but also very desirable for families...its a winter wonderland...its also booming in tech and finance...I think it will be a great choice for a lot of players...I also feel like Utah owners want a winner and hockey should be a great entertainment option for Utah...better than basketball surely? I say they have a legit contender with 2-3 years and at the very least an entertaining product this coming season...I could be wrong

I don't doubt they're on the right track and in a much better situation, however they don't even have a team name yet. A player like Crosby would want to see the on-ice improvements and an actual Brand for the team before committing to leaving a team he has said many times he doesn't ever want to leave

I agree...If it were to happen its most likely after Sid's contract expires...but I just couldn't wait to throw it in there...I just feel like Utah will be the new cool team/city and will aim high...my comp to Vegas is easier said then done though...Vegas just knows how to roll the dice
