Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Focused on getting a top pair defensive right shot RD. I would say Roy is a solid #3 Dman and is the best available option. Demelo, Pesce, Tanev are also other options.

Re-Up either Lyubuskin or Edmundson.

Get Stolarz and Reimer/Jones and rock 3 goalies again. Reimer's entire contract can be buried here if needed.

Biggest holes I see here are #3C. I like Kampf + Dewar + Holmberg. But I would want someone a bit better than all of those guys. Domi could slot in that spot also, but then we are missing a top 6 winger.

What are your thoughts? Was I way off on any contract here?

Rather NOT have a 3 goalie system and would rather use the $4.1m spent on Lilly and Reimer spent on resigning Bertuzzi instead!

Fair on not wanting a 3 goalie system. I don't love it either.

Fair on wanting Bert back. I want him back also.

BUT Bert will cost more than 4.1m (at least I think he will) and our d group looks quite poor without Lily. To get Bert into this, we would need to ship off one or both of Kampf or Jarnkrok.

Bert potentially could be had fpr between 4 and 4.5. I will be honest I am not impressed with Bert during the playoffs. He seems obsessed with trying to follow and get underneath Marchands skin. That will never work. It is best for Bert to do what he does best in front of the net. I do still like Bert but am hoping he starts to refocus on his game versus everyone else's. Shipping off one of Kampf or Jarnkrok is not that hard and could be easily replaced with the proper players.

I view him as a solid number 5, who can slot into the top 4 if needed. I view his value as an early 2nd.
