No, thanks, Mitch Marner is a great player but we're not believers in the "top-down" theory of roster construction. And no matter what his blithely-dismissed extension numbers would be, it would blow our entire compensation structure entirely out of whack.

Verbeek wouldn’t want to pay Marner 13+ million while Gudas told you guys no this summer. McTavish is untouchable. Troy very very likely isn’t going anywhere especially since he just signed that 7x7

I think if @Offseasonfantasyy took out McTavish, Jarnkrok and the 1st maybe Anaheim says yes? But even then, Marner would throw off the cap and last I checked he is NOT the difference maker Leaf land (and himself) thinks he is...
